AquaEstimate is an estimating and project management practice for water and sewer works, with specialist knowledge of Sydney Water. Everything we do comes out of the same place — years on site putting pipe in the ground, and knowing exactly where an estimate goes wrong.
A water or sewer job is not a general civil job with a different logo on the drawing, and a Sydney Water job least of all. The standard details are prescriptive, the trench rules change with the depth, the restoration answers to the council rather than the water authority, and half the cost sits in things that never appear as a line on the plan — traffic control, dewatering, service protection, the hours lost to a live main.
Price it out of a general spreadsheet and you will be wrong in both directions: too dear to win the work, too cheap on the parts that actually bite.
When we say Sydney, we mean the Sydney Water area of operations — metropolitan Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Illawarra. Rates, restoration requirements and council conditions are held for each of them.
