What we do

Estimating and project management
for water and sewer works

Two things, done properly. We price the job so you know what it is worth before you commit to it — and where you want it, we manage it for you through to handover. Sydney Water work is our specialist ground; the same care goes into every water and sewer job.

01 — Estimating

A bill of quantities you can build from

Send us the plan set. Every sheet is calibrated to its own scale, the works are measured on the drawing, and each assembly brings its own materials, plant, crew and hours with it. What comes back is a priced bill of quantities, a written scope, and a note of everything the drawing did not tell us.

Nothing is hidden in a lump sum. If a line cannot be priced from the information given, it is listed and flagged — never quietly left out.

What you get back

  • Material schedule — every pipe, fitting, structure and consumable, with codes
  • Reinforcement schedule where there is concrete
  • Estimating report — materials, labour, plant, subcontractors, preliminaries
  • Scope of works and a clear list of exclusions
  • Fee proposal or tender submission ready to issue
  • A query list — what the drawing is missing, in plain words

02 — Client-side project management

Your project manager, on your side of the table

If you are a developer, a builder, a council or a landowner with a water or sewer project, we manage it for you: a project manager who has built this work and knows the Sydney Water process inside out — the approvals, the people and the order things have to happen in. We take it on job by job — the whole thing, or just the part you are short-handed on.

Programme

A construction programme built off the same take-off as the price, so the durations match the crews and the quantities that were actually allowed for.

Approvals & coordination

Section 73 applications, Water Servicing Coordinator liaison, building plan approvals, and keeping the design consultant, the WSC and Sydney Water moving in the same direction.

Site documentation

Safe work method statements, inspection and test plans, environmental and traffic management plans — issued in the form the job needs, ready to hand to the crew.

During construction

Progress claims, variations, requests for information, subcontractor and supplier coordination, and a running check of the as-built quantities against what was priced.

Work as constructed

Red-marked work-as-constructed plans and the Sydney Water work-as-constructed report, filled out from the marked-up drawing rather than rebuilt from memory at the end.

Close-out

Final quantities, the defects list, the handover pack, and the documents Sydney Water asks for before a job is signed off.

What a fee proposal contains

  • The works, described in the words the client uses
  • The lump sum, or the schedule of rates, with the basis stated
  • What is included, and just as clearly what is not
  • The assumptions the price rests on
  • Provisional sums where a decision is still open
  • Validity, payment terms and the standard clauses
03 — Scope & fee proposals

The words matter as much as the number

Most arguments on a water and sewer job are not about the rate. They are about whether something was in the price at all. We write the scope so that question has an answer before the job starts.

Proposals go out under your letterhead or ours, in your format, with your clauses — the library of standard clauses is kept and reused so the wording is the same every time.

Working with us

How it works

A fixed fee, agreed first

You see the drawings, we see the drawings, and you get a price for the estimating work before anything starts. No hourly surprises.

Turnaround

Most minor works jobs come back in two to three working days; a full major works package in five to ten, depending on the size.

Your information stays yours

Drawings, rates and prices are held for your company only. Nothing is shared between clients.

Tell us about the job

A works description and a plan set is enough to start.
